After Medium Cool

Pastel on paper with laser-cut plexiglass

A collaboration with my father, Laurence Tribe. I sent my dad a still from Medium Cool, a 1969 film by Haskell Wexler, and asked him to draw it. I then mounted the drawing behind a piece of yellow plexiglass with laser-cut holes. Created for For Freedoms, an exhibition organized by Eric Gottesman and Hank Willis Thomas at Jack Shainman Gallery in the summer of 2016.
